Oklahoma bill signing

BOSTON — The Crime and Justice Institute has released a new report on Oklahoma’s landmark 2018 criminal justice reform, which is projected to dramatically slow uncontrolled growth in the state’s prison population.

CJI, with its partners at The Pew Charitable Trusts, has provided technical assistance to state leaders from development of recommendations to address unchecked prison population growth through implementation of reform legislation that Gov. Mary Fallin signed in April.

The bills are projected to overt 67 percent of the anticipated growth in Oklahoma’s prisons over the next decade.
