BOSTON – Community Resources for Justice on Wednesday recognized a dozen corporate partners that have stepped up to support the organization’s mission of strengthening communities and promoting safety, justice, and inclusion.
John Larivee, CRJ’s president and CEO, and Scott Harshbarger, chairman of the board of directors, presented representatives from each organization with a plaque recognizing their longtime support. The organizations are Casner & Edwards; Citizens Bank; Goulston & Storrs; Hays Companies; Isaacson, Miller; Murphy, Hesse, Toomey & Lehane; Pine Street Inn; iCater; Raytheon; RSM; The MENTOR Network; and USI Insurance.
Donations from private individuals and organizations allow CRJ to enhance programs for adults with developmental disabilities, men and women transitioning out of incarceration, and industry-leading research by the Crime and Justice Institute beyond what government contracts cover.
“Your financial contributions allow us to advance our mission, strengthen our programs and services, and expand our impact,” Harshbarger said. “Just as important is the endorsement your support brings. Many of the individuals we support are not the most visible or popular. Many of the issues we advance are misunderstood. Your support helps to raise our profile and the importance of our work.”
Larivee said contributions have a direct and important impact on those who benefit from CRJ’s services, both in terms of direct service and research.
“We work hard to earn your respect and spend those dollars wisely,” Larivee said.
An additional 11 corporate partners who were unable to send representatives to Wednesday’s event will receive plaques recognizing their contributions to CRJ at a later date. They are TD Bank; Saati Deli & Catering; Mugar Enterprises; Bond, Schoeneck & King; Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts; Marcum LLP; John Hancock Financial Services; United Healthcare; Curry College; Brown, Sharlow, Duke & Fogel; and National Development.
