George Keiser addresses the participants of the Intersite Summit

As our field continues to move towards EBP, there are many jurisdictions using innovative approaches to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of their organizations. The Crime and Justice Institute (CJI) has had the opportunity to learn from many organizations in our work throughout the country. We often hear from our colleagues in the field that they are interested in more opportunities to learn from each other. In order to facilitate learning across sites, CJI, with funding from NIC, convened an Inter-Site Summit on January 28th-29th, 2009 in Denver. The Summit was a day and a half gathering for representatives of 8 EBP sites to discuss critical issues, share ideas, and learn about innovations happening throughout the country.
