The Goal of CA Statewide Probation Work Session:

  • Probation in California is undergoing sweeping change. This Work Session was an opportunity for probation professionals to discuss practical strategies to excel in this new environment. This Session went beyond the basics to identify what makes the difference in successful agencies.
  • The Work Session was STC Certified.
  • The Work Session was extremely successful, with over 200 attendees from 49 different counties. Highlights included a lunch address from Governor Jerry Brown, and wonderful discussions about how to make systemic change work on the ground. One of the most popular components of the event were flash drives containing the conference handouts and reference materials (also found on this webpage under "Breakout Session Materials").
