Michael Kane Michael Kane has been working in the criminal justice field for the past 8 years, with a focus on applied research. At the Crime and Justice Institute, Mr. Kane manages a variety of projects, including a project examining the interaction of American Indian and Hispanic culture and risk/need assessment of ex-offenders. Mr. Kane has also provided training and technical assistance to sites implementing evidence-based interventions and programs. Mr. Kane's other work includes supervising research and evaluation activities on a National Institute of Corrections-sponsored technical assistance project, and a National Institute of Justice-sponsored study of probation officer caseload size. Before joining CJI, Mr. Kane also contributed to an analysis of prisoners returning to the city of Philadelphia from the Philadelphia Prison System and a 5 year, National Institute of Justice-sponsored, national evaluation of adult drug courts. Mr. Kane holds an M.A. in Social Science from the University of Chicago and a B.A. in Sociology from Northeastern University. |
