Kim Weibrecht recently joined the Crime and Justice Institute (CJI) team as Project Manager of juvenile and criminal justice evaluation and reform efforts. Her current projects include an evaluation of the Massachusetts juvenile re-entry system, co-facilitation of a state-wide community corrections expansion initiative in Alabama, and assisting in the development of a national judicial curriculum on best-evidence sentencing practices.

Prior to her work at CJI, Ms. Weibrecht held a variety of positions in the criminal justice field, including criminal justice program coordinator for a county government, indigent criminal defense attorney, deputy clerk of a county trial court, judicial law clerk at both the trial court and appellate court level, and several internships with state and county prosecution agencies.

Ms. Weibrecht brings to her current position with CJI an in-depth understanding of local and state justice and correctional systems; extensive public speaking, mediation and consensus-building experience; and facilitation of correctional and justice system reform efforts, including implementation of specialty courts, jail mental health diversion systems and jail re-entry systems, and expansion of a pretrial services program.
Kim received completed her law degree at Northeastern School of Law and her undergraduate degree in Psychology at the University of New Hampshire, magna cum laude.
